For a more positive reading of the US National Security Strategy

Beyond the outraged reactions to the US Security Strategy, a more positive reading can yield constructive guidance for the EU

“However, once the excitement has died down and leaving aside the usual MAGA obsessions regarding patriotism (read “national self-interest”), civilisation (“Christendom”), and European-ness (“whiteness”), a more positive-minded reading of this strategy can yield more constructive guidance than angry or offended social media posts.

This is not an agreement with the Trump administration’s analysis, but an attempt to use the NSS to highlight what the US believes and seeks, and to understand how Europe could respond and evolve.”
